✌️ Struggling With Outreach? Try This 3-Step Email Framework

In this week’s issue, I’m going to show you a dead-simple email framework to help you NEVER stare at a blank screen again.

As sellers, we’re always looking for shortcuts and one of the best ways is thru the use of templates or frameworks.

Unfortunately, when it comes to email - most sellers fall into 1 of 3 buckets.

  1. They don’t use them and instead recreate the wheel each time - which is time-consuming

  2. They use generic templates they get from marketing - and wonder why no one responds

  3. Or the new rage - they try to have ChatGPT write it for them - here’s an ex. of that 😒

So let’s give you a framework that’s:

  • Ridiculously easy to use

  • Has only 3-steps

  • Mega effective

So let's get started.

SMYKM?

If you’re not following Samantha McKenna on Linkedin - you should.

She was the inspiration for this framework and a sales rockstar.

SMYKM stands for ‘Show me you know me’

Why is this important?

Well - personalized emails get 2x times the reply rate.

And in today’s economy where budgets are tighter - generic emails are going right to trash

So instead - we need to add a bit of SMYKM to avoid that same fate.

The SMYKM 3-Step Framework

This framework couldn’t be any more simple.

Step 1 - SMYKM - something personal OR role-relevant

Step 2 - SMYKMC ‘Show me you know my company’ something company-relevant

Step 3 - Call to Conversation - low-friction ask to see if it makes sense to talk more

Here’s an example:

Here’s the breakdown of how easy it was to put together.

Step 1 - visited the prospect’s LI page

Step 2 - noticed they mentioned following them on Twitter

Step 3 - jumped to Twitter and saw the banner image was a picture of a golf course (SMYKM)

Step 4 - Went back to LI —> Company —> Insights Tab (GIF below) (SMYKMC)

Step 5 - Added a low-friction CTC on how we ‘may’ be able to help

Step 6 - Hit send

Too easy.

So the next time you’re wondering…

“I have no idea what to send to this prospect?”

Try the SMYKM Framework.

Get some. ✌️
