✌️ Small Habits = Big Outcomes (Here’s How)

In this week's issue - I’m going to show you how you can use a habit tracker to get 1% better each day.

1% doesn’t sound super compelling, however, 1% better each day for a year, equals 37 times better.

Look back 2, 5, or even 10 years and you’re a different person.

Some of the most common challenges people have when building habits are:

  1. A lack of commitment or consistency

  2. They don’t have a strong purpose for starting OR keeping the habit

  3. They don’t know how to make good habits easier and bad habits harder

  4. They don’t have a system or structure in place to measure or track their progress

We’re going to focus on the last one today.

I believe that once you have an understanding of 1-3 a key way to tie it together is by using a habit tracker.

Why?

Habit Tracking provides visual proof of your hard work.

It’s also a strong psychological motivator to help you not only get started but stay consistent…

Now you may be reading this and are thinking…

“Ehhh not sure this is for me” OR “I don’t think I need this”

I know I did when I first started reading about habit tracking.

I have always considered myself a fairly disciplined person - and didn’t think it would have much of an impact.

And boy was I wrong…

It has by far had the biggest impact on my personal growth and I can’t imagine NOT using one.

  • It holds me accountable

  • It helps me ‘make the time’

  • It helps me be more well-rounded

  • It has helped me maintain consistency

And the list goes on and on.

For those that follow me, I use Notion for just about everything. (tasks, projects, goals, writing, notes, etc.)

It’s my one-stop productivity shop. So naturally, I built my habit tracker there as well.

Here’s a screenshot:

Habit Tracker Template (And How To Use)

Because it has had such a big impact on me, I figured I’d create a template and share it with others to try.

Below are a few screenshots - but here’s A QUICK VIDEO on how to use it.

If you’re not a fan of Notion, no worries I got you covered. Here are 6 habit-tracking apps that may be a better option for you.

That’s all for this week - give it a try and get 1% better each day.
