✌️Generate Tons Of Warm Referrals With This Simple Sales Navigator Trick
In this week’s issue, I’m going to teach you a simple Sales Navigator trick that will generate warm referrals into your hottest prospects in less than 5 minutes.
According to Nielsen, people are 4x more likely to buy when referred by a friend and 92% of people trust referrals from people they know.
Yet 57.9% of reps ask for fewer than 1 referral a month. (Source: Sales Insights Lab)
So let’s change that.
In today’s issue you’ll learn:
A simple step-by-step process for generating a list of “warm referrals”
An example Inmail template you can use to “ask” for a referral
So let’s jump right in
Step: 1
Download a CSV list of your current customers from your CRM.
Include these headers:
Account Name (required)
Website URL (optional)
Country (optional)
State (optional)
City (optional)
Zip (optional)
Step: 2
Go to Sales Navigator—>Right hand side of the page—>Upload accounts —>Continue
Step: 3
Drag & drop or upload your CSV file —>Map the column headers from your CSV to the Linkedin Account Fields
Step: 4
Hit upload. Once complete your customer list will appear under “Accounts lists” in Sales Navigator.
Step: 5
Select “Lead filters”(near the search bar) —>”Workflow” filter —> Account Lists—>”Include” the customer list you just uploaded.
Step: 6
Go to the “Company” filter—>Add your prospect(s) into the “Past Company” field
Step: 7
Voila. You now have a list of warm referrals that work for a customer AND used to work for your prospect!
Step: 8
Use additional filters to refine your list. (ex. Seniority, Changed Jobs, Follows your company, Posted in last 30 days, etc.)
Step: 9
Start reaching out. Here’s a simple template you can try.
[Customer Name] -
Quick note: if you ever have any questions or need help with [your product], call me. [xxx-xxx-xxxx]
If I can’t answer - I can find who can.
Thanks for being a customer
[Rep Name]
P.S. Noticed you used to work at [prospect company].
Any recommendations on who I should contact there?
If not, no worries.
Thanks in advance for any insight!
Give it a shot and let me know how ya make out!
Hope this tip is helpful! That’s all for this week.
