This week I’m going to cover another simple, but effective cold email framework with you.

It’s called the PSA Framework (Problem, Shift, Answer)

Easy to remember

Easy to repeat

Easy to do

Let’s break it down.

PSA Email Framework

Problem

Create an opening that’s focused on a current problem your prospect may be facing.

Ex: This could be macro-trends, industry-specific, company-specific, etc.

Shift

Explain the “shift” that this specific problem has caused.

Because of this problem - what is being done differently to adjust?

Answer

Share a potential “answer” to the problem and solution to the “shift” that’s occurred.

It’s that simple.

Here’s the framework:

Prospect -

[Relevant Problem] isn’t pretty.

[Relevant point to support your statement]

This trend has shifted most to focus on [new way of thinking] vs. [old way of thinking]

Your competitors are driving this through [benefit others are using]

Any interest in talking through the specifics of how they’re using?
