I burnt out

Here's what it means for the future of this newsletter

Three years ago, I was drowning.

As Regional VP of Sales at a fast-growing tech company, my life had become an endless stream of:

  • "urgent" emails

  • back-to-back meetings

  • And constant fire-fighting

I would wake up early to get a headstart and work late into the night. My phone was always buzzing with email, Slack, and WhatsApp notifications.

To make matters worse, it was taking a toll on my family life.

The breaking point came when I missed my son's jujitsu belt test - something I'd promised I wouldn't miss. That night, seeing the disappointment in his eyes, I knew something had to change.

I spent the next year obsessively developing and testing productivity systems that would allow me to perform at a high level without sacrificing my life outside of work.

Through trial and error, I created frameworks for managing my time, energy, and attention that not only restored balance to my life but actually improved my team's performance.

I’ve been documenting my learnings and want to start sharing them.

My goal is to help as many sales leaders as possible avoid the same burnout I and so many others experience through tested and proven systems.

Here’s what it means for the future of this newsletter

On January 7, 2025 - I’m launching a newsletter called The Systematic Sales Leader.

Every Tuesday at 10 AM EDT, I’ll be writing about how sales leaders can escape burnout and recover 10+ hours per week using proven productivity systems, while still building a high-performing team.

Who is The Systematic Sales Leader for?

  • Sales Leaders: Struggling to balance team management with personal productivity while hitting aggressive targets

  • First-Time Sales Managers: Transitioning from top performer to leader while learning to multiply their impact

  • Individual Contributors: Seeking proven systems to manage complex deal cycles without working 24/7

This also means - I will discontinue this newsletter after Jan. 1, 2025.

I realize some of you will not be a fan of this move.

If that’s you, please feel free to unsubscribe at the bottom of this page. (no hard feelings)

But, before you do, perhaps you’d like to check a sample of the content I’ll be sharing.

For everyone else, you can jump on the waitlist here: The Systematic Sales Leader.

If you do nothing, I’ll plan on adding you to the newsletter. (so if you don’t want it, please unsubscribe)

I’m excited about this new chapter and hope to see you there!
