Sales Tip
D.I.C.T.A.T.E
1/ “Start with a hang nail, then get them to Prosthetics.com” - JC
I first learned about this mnemonic device from the great sales trainer, John Costigan.
D (details) “That’s interesting. Can you tell me more about that?”
I (interval) “How long has this been going on?”
C (Cost) “What do you think that has cost you? Time? Frustrations?”
T (Try & 10) “Have you tried to fix it?” “From 1-10, where’s it at now?”
A (A$$) “Who’s a$$ is on the line the most?”
T (Timing) “When would you like this completed by?”
E (Emotions) “How has this impacted you and your role?
Writing Tip
Apple Journal
1/ Making the habit of daily writing effortless
At the end of 2023, Apple launched Journal.
Originally, I ignored it as I built a journal in Notion. (you can check it out here)
But, I gave it a try and was honestly blown away.
It curates suggestions to help you remember moments like:
Places you visited
Photos or videos taken
Songs or Podcasts you listened to
Below is a screenshot of a recent trip to NYC.
The locations and pics were automatically curated for me, so all I had to do was write a few lines to capture the memories from the trip.
I’d highly suggest checking it out if you haven’t already.
Visual Tip
Skecthnote Mini Workshop
1/ People process images 60,000x faster than text alone
Many of you know, I’m a big fan of using whiteboarding and visuals notetaking.
Below is one of the first workshops I caught on the practice of Sketchnoting.
If you care to check it out, click the image to watch. 👇️
P.S. The app he uses in this workshop is called Paper by WeTransfer and is my favorite
