Here’s an underrated hack to dig up some dirt on the competition.
Here’s the step-by-step:
Go to G2
Search the name of a competitor
Select the drop-down near the review stars
Filter on those with a rating of 3 or below
Take notes on the common complaints
Use them in your outreach:
“A common challenge I hear from other customers is both customer support and application speed have seemed to go downhill over the last few years. Is that something you’re seeing as well?”

Passion Pattern Interrupt
1/ Instead of “checking-in” or “following-up”, try this:
It’s a well-known fact people love talking about two things:
Themselves
Things they’re passionate about
So, use it to your advantage.
Here’s the template:
Name -
Just getting a minute to get back to you on this.
Interested to get your take on:
1. [relevant follow-up 1]
2. [relevant follow-up 2]
3. [personal fact/passion of prospect]
Can we carve out time this week?
How to find number 3?
LinkedIn, Google, Twitter, or their website.
Here’s an example: (found number 3 by Googling “Name AND College”)
