✌️ 2 min/day

This week I’m going to share a 2 min. daily exercise. (Reading time: also 2 min.)

If you’ve followed me for any period of time - you know I believe visual selling & whiteboarding is one of the most powerful, yet underutilized skills a seller can build.

If you’re new - here are 10 ridiculously compelling reasons with data to back up my claims. (also check out the end of this article for another resource)

However, most struggle because they “can’t draw” or “don’t know what to draw”

So here’s a 2 min. exercise to change that.

Step 1

Pick a word you hear often during your sales cycles.

Ex.

-Problem

-Challenge

-Efficiencies

-Complexity

Step 2

Set the timer on your phone for 2 min. & hit start

Step 3

Draw a simple icon to represent the 'word' using ONLY basic shapes.

(Circles, Squares, Triangles, Lines, dots)

If you're stuck...

Go to thenounproject.com and search your 'word' (You'll get plenty of simple options)

Step 4

With the remaining time...

List as many other words that could also fit your icon (see the image below as an example)

Do this once a day.

Within a month you'll have an extensive visual vocabulary to use in almost any scenario.

Here’s an example of me using the above “problem” icon in a live whiteboard session.

No more excuses of "I don't know what to draw" or "I can't draw"

Visual selling is about communication, not art.

Exciting Update

If you have any interest in learning more and you’re a Sales Assembly Member - I’ll be doing a crash course on visual selling on 10/26 at 2 pm EDT.
